Azure Data Studio Connections to Azure Government

Azure Data Studio is an open source, cross-platform database tool for data professionals using the Microsoft family of on-premises and cloud data platforms on Windows, MacOS, and Linux. It is now available for connections to Azure Government.

What is Azure Data Studio?

Azure Data Studio is a data management tool that enables you to work with SQL Server, Azure SQL Database, and Azure SQL Data Warehouse on Windows, MacOS, and Linux. It provides an integrated environment for managing data across multiple sources, with rich Transact-SQL editing, query execution, source control integration, and an integrated terminal.

Azure Data Studio now supports connections to Azure Government. This means that customers can now use Azure Data Studio to connect to their Azure Government databases and manage their data.

“This is a great step forward in enabling customers to easily manage their data in Azure Government,” said Microsoft Program Manager, Paul Andrew.
