Microsoft MVPs Power Up Microsoft Build 2025
Microsoft Build 2025 was a tech extravaganza, spotlighting cutting-edge innovations for developers worldwide. But behind the scenes, Microsoft Most Valuable Professionals (MVPs) were the true game-changers. These passionate experts didn’t just attend—they shaped the event’s success and amplified its global impact.
What’s New: MVPs Take Center Stage
This year, over 120 MVPs and Regional Directors (RDs) gathered in Seattle, with 60% coming from outside the U.S. Nearly 20% were first-time MVPs, bringing fresh global perspectives. Before the event, MVPs participated in NDA-protected sessions at the MVP Summit, influencing product development firsthand.
Onsite, MVPs were everywhere—leading demos, staffing expert booths, and coaching new initiatives like the Agent Creator Community and Open Hack experience. Their involvement spanned 7 demo sessions, 17 community talks, 47 expert meetups, and 17 labs.
Major Updates: MVPs Shape the Developer Experience
MVPs didn’t just show up; they helped craft the Build experience. They previewed AI Agents sessions, offering feedback that refined content and unified Microsoft’s AI narrative. Their insights guided Microsoft teams to focus on what developers truly need.
Additionally, MVPs curated the blog “MVP’s Recommended Microsoft Build 2025 Sessions,” helping attendees pick the most impactful talks. Onsite, they assisted attendees in navigating the session catalog, ensuring no one missed must-see content.
“MVPs are not just attendees; they are integral to the experience.”
“Their passion, expertise, and commitment elevate every interaction.”
Community and Celebration: More Than Just Tech
The Sunday before Build kicked off with MVP Connect, an exclusive networking event hosting 100 MVPs, Microsoft Cloud Advocates, and product leaders. It was a chance to celebrate, share stories, and welcome first-year MVPs—all with stunning Seattle views and great food.
Special priority seating for MVPs and RDs at the keynotes allowed them front-row access to announcements from Microsoft executives like Satya Nadella and Scott Guthrie. The week wrapped with a lively celebration at Lumen Field, featuring food, music, and fun.
Why It Matters
MVPs are the bridge between Microsoft’s innovations and the developer community. Their technical expertise and leadership help translate announcements into real-world applications. Microsoft Build 2025 proved that MVPs are essential partners in driving technology forward.
