Lenovo’s Latest Laptops: Embracing a New Generation of AI Computing

Just a month before the annual Consumer Electronics Show, Lenovo is offering a glimpse into their latest laptops. These devices are aimed at helping customers embrace a new generation of AI computing.

What’s New: ThinkPad X1 Carbon, ThinkPad X1 2-in-1, and IdeaPad Pro 5i

The ThinkPad X1 Carbon, ThinkPad X1 2-in-1, and IdeaPad Pro 5i are all Intel Evo laptops. They’re powered by the latest Intel Core Ultra processors and Windows 11. The inclusion of Microsoft Copilot in Windows 11 marks a new era in AI computing.

Features and Updates

These laptops are designed to tackle the toughest work tasks. They include three Intel compute engines to handle AI PC tasks efficiently. This offloading of compute tasks to the NPU and/or GPU improves efficiency and performance, and ensures better power management.

“The laptops – aimed at tackling the hardest work tasks – include three Intel compute engines to handle AI PC tasks efficiently.”

Inclusive Customer Experience

ThinkPads have always been designed with tactile markings to aid visually impaired users. In 2021, Lenovo partnered with the Governor Morehead School for the Blind to understand how visually impaired users interact with their PCs. Now, new tactile markings are aligned with Volume, Insert, Function, and Enter keys on the ThinkPad keyboard. Users will also find larger trackpads, optional glass Haptic Touchpad input, and a larger magnetic pen.

Improved Thermals and Power Savings

The new ThinkPad X1 Carbon and X1 2-in-1 have improved thermals and power savings. They support wake-on-approach with face sensing and adaptive dimming on external monitors, adding extra security. Lenovo continues to increase its use of recycled materials and reduce waste during production.

IdeaPad Pro 5i: Faster AI-Powered Photo Editing

The new 14- and 16-inch Lenovo IdeaPad Pro 5i offers faster AI-powered photo editing. It includes an IR FHD camera with a ToF sensor and privacy shutter that supports Windows Hello for quick and secure login.

“Create, edit and game on the new 14- and 16-inch Lenovo IdeaPad Pro 5i, which also provides faster AI-powered photo editing.”

These new offerings from Lenovo are a testament to the company’s commitment to innovation and customer satisfaction. Find out more about these and other new offerings from Lenovo.
