Microsoft Copilot’s First Anniversary: New Features, OpenAI’s GPT-4 Turbo Integration, and Enhanced Image Creation with DALL-E 3

Posted by

Microsoft Copilot celebrates its first anniversary with the announcement of several new features. These include the integration of OpenAI’s latest model, GPT-4 Turbo, for more complex tasks, an updated DALL-E 3 model for higher quality image creation, and the development of a new code interpreter for complex tasks. The updates also include multi-modal with search grounding for better image understanding and video understanding and Q&A in Edge.

Microsoft Copilot: A Year of AI Innovation and What’s Next

Introducing GPT-4 Turbo

Microsoft Copilot is soon to be powered by OpenAI’s latest model, GPT-4 Turbo. This upgrade will enable tackling more complex and longer tasks such as writing code. Currently in testing with select users, it will be integrated into Copilot in the coming weeks.

“Soon, Copilot will be able to generate responses using OpenAI’s latest model, GPT-4 Turbo, enabling you to tackle more complex and longer tasks.”

Experience the New DALL-E 3 Model

The updated DALL-E 3 model now allows Copilot to create images of even higher quality and accuracy. This feature is readily available for use at bing.com/create or by prompting Copilot to create an image.

Multi-Modal with Search Grounding

Microsoft is combining the power of GPT-4 with Bing image search and web search data to deliver better image understanding for your queries. This new capability will soon be available.

Code Interpreter

A new feature in development is the Code Interpreter. This will enable you to perform complex tasks such as more accurate calculation, coding, data analysis, visualization, math, and more. Copilot will write the code to answer your complex, natural-language requests, run that code in a sandboxed environment, and use the results to give you higher quality responses.

“Copilot’s powerful Python environment runs in a secure sandboxed environment built on top of Azure Container Apps.”

Video Understanding and Q&A

Microsoft Copilot now has the ability to summarize or ask questions about a video that you are watching in Edge. For instance, if you’re watching the YouTube video of Satya’s latest Ignite keynote, you can ask Copilot to summarize it for you.

These updates continue to push the boundaries of AI technology, and Microsoft looks forward to your feedback on these exciting new features.
