Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 25977: What’s New?
Windows Insiders, it’s time to get excited. The latest Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 25977 has been released to the Canary Channel, bringing with it some significant updates.
Bluetooth® LE Audio for Improved Accessibility
Windows has taken a giant leap forward in accessibility with the inclusion of Bluetooth® Low Energy Audio (LE Audio) technology support. This technology is a game-changer for customers using the latest hearing aids.
“We’re excited to announce that Windows has taken a significant step forward in accessibility by supporting the use of hearing aids equipped with the latest Bluetooth® Low Energy Audio (LE Audio) technology.”
With this feature, users can directly pair, stream audio, and take calls on their Windows PCs with LE Audio support. Additionally, we can expect more capabilities for the hearing aids experience on Windows in upcoming flights.
Windows Location Improvements
Another major update is the introduction of new controls for managing which apps have access to the list of Wi-Fi networks around you. This could potentially be used to determine your location.
These settings can be accessed by navigating to Settings > Privacy & security > Location. Furthermore, a new prompt has been added that will appear the first time an app attempts to access your location or Wi-Fi information.
“To simplify the process of sharing your location with trusted apps, we have also added a new prompt that will appear the first time an app attempts to access your location or Wi-Fi information.”
Keeping You Informed and In Control
Once you have granted permission, apps that use location or Wi-Fi information will now appear in Recent activity on the Location page. The location icon will show in the taskbar while the app is in use. This will help you better monitor when apps are using this information.
These updates are just the tip of the iceberg, with more exciting features expected in the coming months. So, stay tuned!
