Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 22635.2483: What’s New?

Windows Insiders, it’s time to gear up for the latest update! The Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 22635.2483 (Beta Channel) is now available for you to explore. This update brings a host of new features, improvements, and fixes for everyone in the Beta Channel.

Major Updates

One of the significant changes in this update is the introduction of a new toggle feature. This feature allows Windows Insiders in the Beta Channel to receive the latest updates and features as they become available. This is a great way to stay ahead of the curve and experience new features before they are rolled out to everyone.

“For Windows Insiders in the Beta Channel who want to be the first to get features gradually rolled out to you, you can turn ON the toggle.”

Important to Know

Windows is temporarily disabling the update of its color font format to COLRv1. This was first introduced in Build 22631.2265 and displayed richer emoji with a 3D-like appearance. This feature will be re-enabled in a future Beta Channel flight after some bugs are fixed.

Another important update is the requirement for consent to share data between Windows and other signed-in Microsoft services in the European Economic Area (EEA). Without this consent, some functionality in Windows features may be unavailable.

Fixes

One of the fixes included in this update is for an issue that was causing search to crash on launch for some Insiders in the previous flight. This fix is expected to enhance the user experience and improve the system’s stability.

About the Beta Channel

The Beta Channel is where Microsoft previews experiences that are closer to what will be shipped to general customers. Not every feature tried out in the Beta Channel will ship, but it’s an excellent way for Insiders to get a sneak peek at potential new features.

“The Beta Channel is the place we preview experiences that are closer to what we will ship to our general customers.”
