Introducing Bing Chat Enterprise in Windows Copilot Preview
Microsoft has unveiled Bing Chat Enterprise, an AI-powered chat with commercial data protection, in the Windows Copilot Preview. Initially rolled out in July, Bing Chat Enterprise is now accessible to eligible commercial customers in the Dev Channel.
What’s New?
For users, the experience remains largely unchanged, with the branding reflecting Bing Chat Enterprise and a constant reminder of data protection. However, the real changes are “under the hood” for IT Pros and those responsible for data protection and compliance.
“Bing Chat Enterprise enables your organization to use Windows Copilot with confidence that your data is protected—chat data is not saved, Microsoft has no ‘eyes on’ access, and your data is not used to train the underlying models.”
Major Updates
Enterprises already using Bing Chat Enterprise on Bing.com need not take any additional steps to enable it in the Windows Copilot Preview. The new chat tool is grounded in web data and provides complete, verifiable answers with citations, visual answers including graphs and charts, and aligns with Microsoft’s AI principles.
Important to Know
Windows Copilot Preview with Bing Chat Enterprise is currently available to Windows Insiders in the Dev Channel and is gradually rolling out to Insiders in the Beta Channel. IT admins can manage Bing Chat Enterprise across Bing, Edge sidebar, or Windows Copilot via the provided documentation.
