Introducing Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 25936

Windows Insiders, get ready for the latest update! Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 25936 is now available on the Canary Channel, bringing fresh experiences and improvements.

What’s New in Build 25936?

One of the key updates in this build is the introduction of several new Post-OOBE experiences. After completing the Out of Box Experience (OOBE), users may encounter one of three new experiences.

Development Intent and Get Started App

If users select ‘Development Intent’ during OOBE, the Dev Home or Get Started app will automatically launch after first login. These apps provide a personalized flow to help users learn more about Dev Home and key apps and settings.

Device Restoration

For those who choose to ‘Restore’ their device during OOBE, the Get Started app will launch after the second login, guiding users through the restoration process and how to access restored apps.

“These experiences will help you learn about new features in Windows 11 and help you complete your device setup.”

Changes and Improvements

Along with these new experiences, several changes and improvements have been made. The build’s expiration date has been extended to September 15, 2024, starting with Build 25931, ensuring users stay updated with the latest build.

Dynamic Lighting

Users can now choose a custom color to light up their devices, adding a personal touch to their experience.

Task Manager

The Task Manager settings page has been redesigned to match the aesthetics of Windows 11, providing a cleaner UI with categories separated into different sections.

Settings

The end task feature under System > For Developers no longer requires Developer Mode to be enabled first, making it more accessible to users.

“We’ve updated the Task Manager settings page to match the design principles of Windows 11.”

Remember, as the Canary Channel offers the latest builds, documentation may be limited. However, the most significant and impactful known issues will be documented. Enjoy exploring the new features and improvements!
