Exciting news for Windows Insiders! The latest Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 22621.2262 and 22631.2262 (Beta Channel) has been released. This release introduces new features and enhancements that promise to elevate your Windows experience.

Important Update Information

Due to a bug in the previous Beta Channel flight, the “Check for updates” button may not appear as expected under Settings > Windows Update. However, there’s a workaround to get this update immediately. You can open Windows Terminal (or the Run dialog) and enter the USOClient StartInteractiveScan command. This command performs the same function as clicking the “Check for updates” button in Windows Update.

What’s New?

Build 22631.2262 introduces new features, while Build 22621.2262 has new features off by default. Insiders who were previously on Build 22624 will automatically get moved to Build 22631 via an enablement package.

New Settings Homepage

One of the major updates in Build 22631.2262 is the introduction of a new homepage in Settings. This dynamic and personalized homepage offers an overview of your device, quick access to key settings, and helps manage your Microsoft account.

Interactive Cards

The new Settings homepage features interactive cards representing various device and account-related settings, grouped by commonly accessed functions. Each card is optimized to offer the most relevant information and controls at your fingertips.

“We’re introducing a new homepage in Settings that offers you a dynamic and personalized experience. It provides an overview of your device, quick access to key settings, and helps manage your Microsoft account.”

Recommended Settings, Cloud Storage, Account Recovery, and Personalization Cards

The Recommended settings card adapts to your specific usage patterns, providing timely and relevant settings options. The Cloud storage card gives an overview of your cloud storage use, and the Account recovery card helps keep your Microsoft account secure. The Personalization card brings customization to your fingertips.
