Celebrate Pride Month with Microsoft 365 on Mac and iOS

This June, Microsoft 365 is rolling out a vibrant new Pride theme for Mac and iOS users. It’s a colorful way to show your support and celebrate community right from your favorite apps.

What’s New: Pride Themes Across Your Favorite Apps

Microsoft has introduced a special Pride theme in Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OneNote. Whether you’re on a Mac or an iPhone/iPad, you can now add rainbow accents to brighten your workspace.

Product Manager Hugo Garcia shared,

“Pride is more than just individual expression – it’s the strength of a community that encourages, uplifts, and cares for one another.”
This theme embodies that spirit beautifully.

Major Updates: How to Enable the Pride Theme

On Mac

  • In Outlook, go to Settings > General and select your preferred Pride theme.
  • For Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OneNote, open Preferences > Show Your Pride to activate the theme.

On iOS

  • In Outlook, tap Home > Settings > Appearance to pick the Pride theme.
  • For Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and OneNote, tap your profile photo, then Settings > Show Your Pride.

Once enabled, you’ll notice vibrant rainbow highlights across the apps, making your daily workflow a little more joyful.

Why It Matters: Pride for Each Other

This year’s campaign, “Pride for Each Other,” focuses on connection and community strength. It’s about showing up visibly for love, equity, and support.

“It’s about lifting each other up, celebrating our shared humanity, and showing up loudly and visibly for love, equity, and community.”

Microsoft also offers additional Pride resources like desktop wallpapers, Teams backgrounds, and inspiring stories on their Microsoft Pride page.

Availability and Feedback

The Pride theme is available now for Microsoft 365 users on Mac and iOS in select markets. Microsoft encourages users to share feedback via the app’s built-in feedback options.
